We all have to do our weekly or fortnightly food shop and let’s face it, it’s not much fun. Traipsing down the aisles, attempting to squeeze your trolley past hoards of people and a kid running around your feet is definitely not my idea of a perfect evening. However supermarkets are now giving us more reasons to pop to the shops. ‘Why would I want to go to the supermarket more than I have to?’ I hear you ask. Well I’ll tell you. One word – clothes. These days our supermarkets are endeavouring to cover all areas of shopping alongside food, one aspect of this being fashion.

Comic Relief, or better known these days as Red Nose Day, hits ours screens this year on Friday 18th March and sets us all up for a cracking night of television with a little help from the BBC.
If you fancy helping a life changing cause and you’re bored of baking millions of fairy cakes or even persuading your boyfriend to get his legs waxed (if that ever gets boring!) to raise money for Comic Relief then you have come to right place.
For this years Comic Relief, our much beloved fashion icon Vivienne Westwood has designed a range of stylish t-shirts; the collection represents a unique fusion of humour and iconic historical images, including Rowan Atkinson as ‘Edmund’ and Miranda Richardson as ‘Queenie’ from Blackadder, William Shakespeare, The Laughing Audience by Hogarth, a Punk Girl and a Louis XVI lady.
These t-shirts will set you back between £5.99 and £14.99 with between £2.50 and £7.00 contributed to the particular charity.
However, not only will you bag yourself a piece of fashion history you will be ensuring that cotton farmers receive an acceptable pay for their produce as these t-shirts are fair-trade. You can get your t-shirt at any TK Maxx store today; what other excuse do we need to give you to hit the high street?
Nonetheless if many work places, schools, colleges or wherever you are on Red Nose Day are trying to encourage you to wear something red to raise money for Comic Relief then forget wearing your old red pyjama shirt and go for a ‘red hot’ look instead. Dread no more, we are here to help you support charity and look fabulous whilst doing so. Oh and cheaply of course….
Spring 2011 is upon us but a new season doesn’t have to mean an entire new wardrobe.
Being more selective and teaming a few new on-trend pieces with some wardrobe stable items can really go a long way in giving your wardrobe a fresh new look.
Here we’ve highlighted the key trends for Spring 2011 and picked out some of our favourite pieces from Dorothy Perkins’ new Spring/Summer collection.
1. Set sail with nautical stripes
When worn in small doses, nautical themed pieces can be a great addition to your Spring wardrobe. Maybe try teaming a striped t-shirt with jeans and a blazer for as fresh casual look this season.
2. Lighter is brighter
Lighter shades of the more traditional spring colours (yellows, purples) will make a burst on to the scene this season.
That means that soft coral and turquoise are key colours for Spring 2011. Team these colours with a return of last seasons staple items in basic neutral colours like navy, cream, khaki, tan and light grey.
Kim and older-sister Kourtney did what can only be described as ‘celebrity overtime’ yesterday by sitting on the sofas of pretty much every major US TV network chat show in a bid to raise awareness of their new reality show, ‘Kourtney and Kim Take New York’.

With Christmas fast approaching, many of us will have bought the perfect present for our other-halves… but what about the rest of the family? You don’t have to just nip to the local garage on Christmas Eve and pickup the same ‘Stig’ bubble bath you bought last year!
Many of the top online sites now cater for the whole range of men, whether young or old, active or couch-potatoe, with a range of gifts to suit all. And what better place to shop than the nations’ favourite and most trusted retailer, Debenhams.
Debenhams cover everything from an expensive watch to a packet of retro sweets and everything else in between. And what’s more, today they have just launched their ‘Christmas Spectacular’ in which they’ll be discounting a massive 20% on many of their gift items for all the family.
With four acts going into the final for the first time this year, the choice of duets will have a major bearing on the outcome – especially as one contentant will be eliminated from the show on Saturday before making it to Sunday’s instalment.
This weekend the contestants will sing a number of tracks, including a celebrity duet, their original audition song and their favourite performance from the series.
But due to the way the eliminations will work, not all of the contestants will get the chance to perform all of their songs! Saturday’s show will also see the final 16 reunited for another group performance.
